New Nember

Hi Everyone,
My name is Alice and I am the owner of Birds N' Things in Arlington, Va..
We are just a small specialty shop for birds and will be introducing our new bird toy line that will be in stores soon. Our distributor has just placed an large order.
Although he doesn't have all we manufacture, all items are on our website under "Exclusives" for bird toys. We are now offering bags of wood that seems to be a hit with all the birds. Check us out at http://www.birdsnthings.com
If anyone has any questions pertaining to their birds, we are also here to help. I particularly have an African Grey who is quite unusual of whom I love to share stories of. He is incredible. The last thing he came out with was, "Oh, my thong went up my butt". We missed the person who said that one in front of him but it only took once for him to hear it. He is in the store with me greeting customers everyday.

You have a great looking store! Good prices as well, and loved to see that you had the parrot cookbook! Was curious however if you had bulk food in stock (looked through your feed section though didn't really notice much in the way of bulk, especially for the sweet harvest cockatiel no sun seed bag... just curious as I'm always trying to see if I can get the bags in bulk at a good price).

Hi Monica,
I can order in larger bags of food if needed. What I do have in bulk is the ABBA diet usually. I carry the 1500, 1300 and 1200 (now in stock). I have smaller bags for the smaller birds though.
I don't have a market for the Sun Seed here so I don't usually carry it. Sweet Harvest and Kaylor sells well especially the "no sunflower" blend in Cockatiel and Parrot.
We are still working on the site as we go. Hard to keep up with everything.
Alice

Ah, those greys! Blooper (my Grey's name) is quite a character. Yesterday, he said, "What?" pause "You talking to me?" Only thing, I didn't say anything.
Of course I had to tell him that. Not sure if it clicked yet. After the thong incident a few days later out of his mouth comes, "Hello butt". Horrified as I was talking to a new customer, I gave him a lecture on that not being very nice to say. Hasn't said it again. A day or so later I came out of the back room only to turn around to say to him that he has been saying not so nice things lately and he must refrain from it. As I walked away I got a response, quite loudly, "Yeah". He never ceases to amaze me.
Alice

Thank you Parrotetlover! I have so many stories with him and they just keep coming.
I do have Parrotlets here, Pacific, some breeders for sale (for a friend) and keeping my fingers crossed my blue pair has their first clutch. These little guys are too cute.

Hi and yes we do. Unfortunately I don't have a way to ship them unless they are drop shipped. Can do the Kings cages in particular. I usually recommend those for the macaws.
We're not done with our web site yet. Between making toys and caring for the birds here, I have my hands full.

Hey Blake, your thong is up your butt too? lmao
Alice, welcome to BirdBoard. This is a great site and I'm sure your going to get drilled with questions as I see already.
The thong up the butt was so funny. I couldn't imagine walking into a store and having a bird say, "Hello Butt". How embarrasing for you, but it is kinda funny.
I'm going to go check out your site right now.
