Hi All! Just thought I should introduce myself properly. I'm Steph, 25 from Newtown Sydney. I'm mum Monty, my 4 year old scaly breasted Lorikeet.

Stumbled across BirdBoard the other day, looking up info/tips on how to give Monty the best life ever. Basically I have moved out of home (read: no longer living with my bird-hating family. They really dislike them) and now that she's living in a different place, she will be able to have more socialising time, playtime in the house and a much bigger cage/house. She's like a little person and she will be treated like a queen from now on!

We have some issues to work through, but we're going to get there (she is very stubborn, wiley and strong-willed like her mum haha) Hope to spend some time around here, with all you bird lovers. Nobody else in my life understands or likes birds..... so yeah, definitely glad to have found this place!
