Unhappy Desperate In SC

Hi y'all. I'm located in Goose Creek SC and in desperate need to place my 30ish year old Blue & Gold in a rescue where she (yes SHE...she lays eggs) could eventually find a good home. I've had her for 20 years..through ups and downs and moves from WA to SC to VA and back. Unfortunately this time my divorce forces me to move again and I cannot keep "General". I haven't been able to keep up with her vet care and she needs the attention I haven't been able to give. I thought I could move her with me into new home, but it turns out I cannot due to change of housing arrangements and I move NEXT WEEK! No pets allowed at all. It's only temporary housing for me and my kids, and a friend is taking the 2 dogs and 2 cats for me for a while, but I cannot find anyone who will take General for the time being. I'm desperate! She must go now to a real rescue so I can have that piece of mind she will be given the care she needs and a forever home. Can anyone please help? I tried Googling a reputible rescue here and their website is under reconstruction...if anyone has their email addy or phone number could I please get it? THANK YOU!!!!!!!

V.....

There's a great organization called Phoenix Landing, which may be able to help you. They operate along the East Coast, and have a very strong presence in NC. I pretty sure they may have volunteers in SC as well. Their contact info is on their website: PHOENIX LANDING Contact Us

Phoenix landing doesn't work out of sc you have to drive them to the rescue center. I know of a rescue in texas there is one here near charlotte but they are full. If you would like i can give you the info for the one in texas and she can be flown into there, I can talk to the lady that runs it today.

Hi If you cant find a rescue to take her I also live in SC about 2 and a half hours from Goose Creek. I could keep her for you until you are able to find a place where you could get her back.
