bone sticking out of a wing

I have a parakeet who has a bone sticking out of one of his wings, he seems to still fly, just not as strong as before. What can I do?

What would you do if it was a child with a bone sticking out of their arm? Same rules apply, I'm afraid. Your keet really needs to see a vet....

I'm sorry, but you're kidding, right?
Please take him to vet in person instead of wasting time asking people who can't help, because we are online.

vet ASAP... there's nothing we can advise you to do, because this really is a case for a vet only

Okay, what you need to do is locate either an Avian Veterinarian or an Exotic Veterinarian in your area.

Even if the bird is mobile it can be developing an infection which can be fatal.

Contact a vet a.s.a.p. - there are vets who will see budgies/parakeets and most of them will be decent about the cost because they will appreciate your willingness to value this little bird. Don't bother asking the receptionist the cost - they won't know.

Keep us posted! Good luck and Godspeed.
