Joining from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada - Bonjour!

I bought my first bird on June 1 2009, then bought the second one one week later.
Our family had a budgie when I was small, but it wasn't my bird. I thought for a long time as to what other animal I wanted to bring into my life as I have had cats for more than 20 years. I decided on budgies as they are small, compact and very interactive.
I enjoy watching them for hours before I go to work and listen to them as they chirp along with their morning song "Happy Budgies" from Listening Earth.
The cats have adapted rather well to the new family members, although there are a few times when they get too curious and need to be chased away.
I have found alot of usefull info on this forum.
Still can't tell what sex they are though lol. Their cere keeps changing.

I am transfixed by them - amazing little creatures.
