Hello from Erie, PA
Hello everyone! My family just adopted two Sun Conures, Jose and Rosie, a male and a female. Best of all, they, the cage and food were free! We also have a Cockatiel, Angel. We have only had the Suns a few days and I think they are adapting rather well. The previous owners just had their 5th child and felt that they couldn't give the birds enough attention. The birds have been handled and socialized but Rosie tends to bite (hard!) Jose is a snuggler and likes to dance :)
My family is enjoying our new friends (except the biting) and I am really finding a lot of great information on this site!

Welcome and congratulations on your new additions. Sun Conures are so beautiful. I hope you can find a way to decrease the biting to make it more enjoyable for you.

Thanks, Chris! I'm glad we know someone locally who can help us out if necessary! I'd love to see your birds sometime!
As for pictures, I have taken several but my camera won't upload to my computer for some reason :( Still working on that.

Nice to meet you Connie. This is such a valuable resource for you. So glad Brian told me about your new "Anniversary gifts!" I really don't know much about conures but so many here do. Questions ask away. If you need help with pics I can try to help you out there too.
