hello iam from the uk and have a african grey, he were a wild caught bird 7 yrs ago, his previous owners had brought him off a breeder they hve not been able to tame him and have kept him in a shed in a small square cage with a nesting box ,i felt so sorry for the poor bird and bought him off them, he his now in a parrot cage we could not get near him for he was so afraid and clung to the back of the cage growling , we have had him now for 4 weeks every night i sit next to his cage he now eats food out of my hand, the last owners cannot beleive the progress that we hve made for it his the first time anyone as got close too him in 7 yrs , iam so pleased for him i have named him max, and i have just bought a ringneck 6 mnths old advertised as a alexandrine only his bottom beak is black so i tink he his a ringneck,

hi is it possible for a alexandrines bottom beak to be black , for i have been intouch with the people we bought the bird off and told them that we think it is a ring neck and not a alexandrine as they said he were when we bought him, and they insist it is a alexandrine ,thamks leila
