lost cag

well i got doug back or maybe i dont know a lady called me today she caught a CAG my bird has been missing for 23 days his eyes look a little different, he bit the heck out of me, any way i dont know if its him or not what do i do ?

I would just give it some time, is there anyway you could identify him like a microchip or something along those lines. I would check him out a little more, because don't greys sometimes have markings or the red feathers that normally aren't there. I dont know how often that happens. Did he have any of these that you know about? I don't know how much help this is but I figured it was worth a shot. Too bad fingernail polish is bad for birds, I would so paint my birds nails just to be sure if something like this happened. But it's a no no, so I guess I will just microchip.

Hi thank you Mommaof yes he had a little black on his tail feather, but he was almost thrugh his molting, i dont know if he would grow the same ones. He does seem to be a bit lighter dont know if that could be from being out for 23 days i just could not belive it when i got the phone call, the lady lives a 1/4 mile from me what are the odds of two CAG in the same naborhood he was very hungry i gave him some chicken and right now hes beating up his bell, will he make the same noises i wonder after he settles in i will keep all of u informed of his progress

Have you figured out if it is in fact your bird? I hope that it is. Sometimes when birds are lost, and yours was lost for nearly a month, it can take some time for them to get settled back into being at home and trusting that they are back to being safe. I hope it all works out for you!!

Hi Lovely i just dont think its my Dougie bird, it bit my nose pretty bad yesterday ouch, no dougie sounds yet, i posted some pix in the african grey board have a look see what you think look at the eyes, thank you Craig
