Hello! :)

My name is Anne. Yes, I am vegan. I'm really excited to be a part of this forum and hope you all will come to enjoy my company!

Currently, I have...
Russian tort 1.0.0
Red-Eared sliders 1.1.0
guinea pig 0.1.0
ratties! 0.2.0
gerbils 0.5.0
peach lovebird 0.1.0
goldies (goldfish) 0.0.3
tiger barb 0.0.1
gold gourami 0.1.0
mystery snails 0.0.50 ish
emerald cory 0.0.1
zebra moray eel 1.0.0
betta 1.0.0

I am super lover of all things living (although I love non-living things too). I highly believe in adoption!!! Adopt kids, animals, trees, everything. I'm 19 and from Seattle, pursuing a double major in biology and chemistry (not biochemistry) and I want to become a wildlife rehabilitator soon and open a no-kill exotic animal shelter focusing on birds, reptiles, amps, and fish. Especially fish. I am hoping to support the shelter by selling my handmade (and homemade) crafty items for people and animals.

I am highly opposed to the pet trade, animal testing, and dairy. That doesn't mean I don't get along with people though. I am GENERALLY an open-minded person. I won't force my opinions onto you if you don't to me.

I'm super excited about talking about all our lovely animals! Glad to meet you! Thanks.

Anne
Oh yea, if someone could please direct me to the page where I could add a signature, that would be super helpful! Thanks.

Becca: Wowza! You have tons of birds! 2,000 lbs! Haha, thank you for the welcome and the siggie info. It took me a couple seconds to figure out what siggie meant! I make all sorts of crafts! I can basically make anything you would like me to. :D For myself though, I usually make aprons, scarves, armwarmers, legwarmers, hair clips, hair bands, etc. Mostly small accessorizable things. And of course, rattie hammocks, toys, birdie toys, etc. All of my crafts are made from second-hand items including clips/hooks/etc. I thought about opening an Etsy store for a long time, but haven't been struck by lightning yet! Thanks! :) By the way, where do you live?

Sydney! I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR LITTLE BULLIE!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable. I love all your animals, of course, but bullies are just soooooooooooo adorable. Haha, I prefer flock, I suppose (but I only have 1 bird so far!) So far, haha. I'm planning to adopt her a bird friend for Christmas. I hope to post pictures someday soon! I'm obsessed with taking pictures of my animals. Actually, let me see if I have any on my computer right now! You guys all sound so nice! I don't want to compare people but uh...aquahobby.com (my favorite fish forum) has some very interesting people. But I think that generally fish peopl e are less smiley than birdie peeps! <3 Actually, how do I post pictures?! Ah!

Welcome to BB. I am sure you will enjoy this site. There are alot of people on here with different views on things. I know others have started argue threads about them. I am glad you are not a person who pushes there views.

What type of birds are you wanting to add? I started my college career in zoology but I change my major so many times before joining the Navy. It is a great career goal you have.

Wow! "I could write a book!" I can't wait until that's by my name! But unfortunately, it'll take a while because all my replies are like, 3 pages long! And I'm on like, 6 forums and it's all so much to do! :D But I love it.

Greenmeadows: Ooo! What a fabulous name! One of my biggest dreams in life is to adopt a pitbull (<333!!!) and play with her 24/7 and mostly tire her out so we could nap in green meadows filled with dandelions. And we'd chase our duckies too!

Kelly: Wow! The navy! I know people in the navy! I think...I don't know much about it though. Or the military, or the Air Force, or the Marines. But as long as you're happy! It's about time for me to start transferring to universities and uh...UW is my first choice, I suppose, but they have 6 sub-majors of biology and zoology is not included. They have cellular, botany, conservational?, and all sorts of stuff but no zoology! So...?!?!?! I'll figure that out later. :D Oh yes! Adding birds. You know, out of all the chordate classes, I know the least about birds. It's really sad. I want to adopt her an older female lovebird. Mine came from a friend who could keep their scarlet macaw but not their lovebird (doesn't really make much sense to me). My bird supposedly "cannot fly" because they've never let her out before. And they said she bite them all the time. So that's what Angel and I are working on right now. I'm her friend, no need to make me bleed. I just want her to have more birdie friends so that she doesn't want so much attention from me. I'm not exactly sure how to introduce other birds, though. I've been reading about it lately and it doesn't sound like the easiest thing. Any advice? :D I adopted a Russian tortoise from my friend because she was fostering him and another Russian tortoise. Mine, Chelo (as in Chelonian), beat the other one (Kragler) up all the time! So Clow's with me now. We've been working on his hissing. He's doing much better now. He doesn't seem to mind being picked up as much. (But I could be wrong, haha).

Uhm, horror related? I cannot seem to find a "confused" smiley!

Ooo! I like this one! I'm, at the moment, fascinated with the South!
Thank you all so much for welcoming me! Hopefully you don't mind reading all these long replies! I'm actually a supremely busy person (and right now, after I'm done emailing everyone, I'm going to clean everyone's cages!) so my replies will probably be every couple days. And as you can see, I talk a lot so...don't tell me I didn't warn you!

<3 Anne
