Hi Henrik, and welcome! Glad you have a sense of humor about things! I had to look up what a Kakariki is, but they're beautiful. Sad that they don't live as long as other birds though. I hope you can find all the information you need here. Kakarikis might be few and far between in the states, but we have plenty of cockatiels!

Hi Henrik, i have got a kakariki, only had him about 12 wks, so he getting used to us, hes becoming a lot more active. at the moment hes very quiet but vet said he's in good health. nice to see more ppl on here with kakariki's, this is a really good site for info.

Hello Henrick! I only have, one large green winged macaw. Sounds like you will be expanding your feather family. You will enjoy learning and sharing here.

hi henrik, that would be good, like i said we've only had Oscar for about 12wks, he will come on your hand if you got food on there, but otherwise shy's away. from what i have heard and read about kakariki's they are very active, but at the moment Oscar just eats and sleeps, like i said before vet said he ok. he was in an avairy before and being yr old may take longer to tame. when not at work we let him out as much as possible. i have posted pics on this site of oscar.
