G'day all!
Hi everyone! Just thought I would introduce myself. My names Katie and I live in sunny Queensland Australia. I am getting terribly excited because in four weeks my little green buddy will be comming home to live with me! I was origionally going to have a Quaker parrot, but while researching them I came across some pictures of the green cheek conure and just fell in love. I have been in a mad rush buying birdie toys, food and play gyms and can't wait until July 22 when he finally arrives. I hope he likes me.....

Welcome Kateykat! What part of Queensland are you from? I'm from Brisbane. I have a Quaker adn 9 tiels. I think Greencheeks are adorable, would love to have one!

Welcome ! I have both a green cheek & a quaker. You are going to have fun. My GC is the most affectionest bird I have. Very loving and will go to anyone. Make sure to get some dried papaya. They love it.

Welcome to the board. I am jealous of you though cause you live in Australia and I would love to be able to go there and see wild too's especially the galahs since I have one of my own. Of couse I have heard that they are treated like pests over there sometimes so not sure I would like that.

Hi guys. Tiki, I live in Hervey Bay now, used to live in Brisbane. How is that for a small world! I am getting nervous now (and abit more excited if thats even possible) have started trying to put toghter my birdie play gym and am stock piling my chewable and chew resistant toys. The man who bred my gc is suppose to be sending me a picture this week. Then I will be able to settle on a name for him!

Cool! One of these days I should go up there for a weekend, maybe visit Fraser Island. But not during winter.............I hate cold weather! Let me know if you ever come to Brisbane.
