hey everyone...

Hey guys,
In new here. I have a 3 year old quaker, his name is Tweek.
He has been a good bird for most of the time we had him but we are going thru a phase right now.

We had a fire at our house a few months ago and lost everything. We have been living in a temporary appartment, which i suspect is not helping the bad behavior.

Ill be creating a thread in the training section about advise on how to correct his behavior.

But more positive for now :icon_mrgr

On good days he is very enjoable to be around, he says 'hows it going'' when you enter the house. and plays peekaboo. and he absolutly love the cat. he calls her all day long...and gives her kisses and tells her that she's ''good pooky''

Im looking foward to reading all the info on this board and am looking foward to a birdie boot camp.

Adorable. We have a Quaker as well, they are priceless. Glad to hear you understand about phases, far too many people give up on perfectly good birds far too early. Welcome to BirdBoard!

Welcome

Hello from yet another Quaker owned person. My little guy is always in a phase LOL!!! That is just him, a rowdy little monster who loves attention (and food).

Sorry to hear about your fire........hope all works out.

Well hi! Gee another person with a "species confused" birdy! My girl budgie BB is so in love with my girl kitty Kiki. She loves to offer her regurgitated seed and is constantly "making whoopie" on the back of her neck or on top of her head.....Thank goodness Kiki seems to like the attention.....although I swear I sometimes I see an expression of "Mother please get this brat off of me".......

I am glad I am not alone with having a very unusual relationship between cat and bird. I am very careful and BB can fly so she can zip away but so many people think I am a lunatic to let them be together .....

Take care,
Pam

Welcome to Birdboard! Sorry to hear about the fire, that must be really rough. PLease watch your Quaker around your cat, even if you think the cat won't bite him, cat saliva is fatal to birds. He is a cutie, I am a Quaker Mommy too! I just adore them!
