I guess what you all have to bear in mind is that not all lory owners live in the USA and have access to the products mentioned. There are great manufactured lory diets (wet and dry) out there but there are also some very dodgy ones. I prefer to feed my lories on a diet that I have created as I know what has gone into it. The recipes I have mentioned above have worked fantastically for my guys and I guess the proof of the pudding and all that. The fact that it is also used by breeders and wildlife experts in Aus (where many lories come from) is enough for me. If you don't want to - or can't spare the time to - concoct your own mixes then my advice would be to go for the best you can afford and to follow the advice of breeders in your own area.

All the best,

Heather

I noticed (sorry to bring up an old post) that roudybrush is making a lory food now.. wondering if anyones tried it.

They ARE good for pellets for the other fids, soo, was thinking of investing and seeing how it went.

Darn it Jodi! I wish we could get these new things here in NZ. I am not a fan of lory pellets but any new wet diet is of interest to me. Doubtless it will get here in the end... Let us know how you get on.

All the best,

Heather
