Fruits, flowers, pollen and nectar mixes. Gets a bit spendy, but... I'll do anything for my baby!

I guess a good way of putting it, is a lory is basically an enlarged, hyper-active, hummingbird. Their main diet is nectar and fruits, but they can eat other foods... however it is advised against feeding foods such as dry pellets or seeds, as (I've read) their digestive tract is not made for grinding up hard foods... thus, they will not be able to get the nutrients out of the food that non-nectar eating parrots can.

If Heather is around, she'll be able to give better information.

breeder i know uses a 50-50 mixture of kaytee parrot formula and avico lory life.

feeding babies is a lot of work! PERIOD. Then you get to factor in that they can't have high-iron foods (grapes/raisins are gone-have to look at everything they eat) specialized diets.. they are not an 'easy' bird
