DO NOT feed any bird avocado as it's poisonus to them!!! I feed my lory wet and dry commercial nectar every day as well as fruit and veg. She loves maccas fries best though she's not allowed!

Reading over all the comments, it sounds harder than it is. Feeding her in the morning takes ten minutes of gathering any fruits/ veg that are yummy and cutting them into easy proportions, mixing the lorikeet wet nectar with water, cleaning and changing the water bowl and cleaning out and replacing the dry mix once every two days or if it's soiled. In the evenings, the wet nectar is replaced, fruit is given and water is changed. After dinner she is given any leftovers that are good for her. That's it :D ...Plus changing the first layer of newspapers at the bottom of her cage.
