Help immediately pls

I have a very sick Lory that is getting sicker each and every day and no treatment in the last 3 months is helping. He has been on numerous antibiotics and antifungals without any improvement. He is too sick to endoscope, my vet feels he will not survive. I am absolutely desperate at this point to try to find out what is growing inside him. At first he thought it was aspergillosis, I think it may be pasteurella, but it is a mute point because he can't go in and get a sample. Is anyone knowledgeable with Lory Illness?

has he had any bird seed?..bird seed can kill them (the breeder who sold me monkey and frenchy told me this) also if his diet has too much iron it can cause problems, when my lory got into my lovebirds seed mix i had to give him honey diluted in water for him to get better, he seemed like he was going to die at times but this helped alot.

he does regularly sneak my african grey's nutriberries. His main stay is lorylife, so I don't think it's too much iron. Thank you so much for the input.

Poops are nasty and normal for a lory! Ha- you know what I'm talkin' about! I have an appointment with a Board Certified avian specialist on the other side of the state for Tuesday, they have ultra sound machines and cat scans that can get a better picture of what is going on inside. My vet has agreed to release his records to take there, and until then, he is continuing supportive care. If anyone can figure it out, I feel confident they can (Staff at the University of Tennessee veterinary teaching hospital) they have specialists on staff and I've been once before 10 years ago for my african grey, and they seemed to pull of a miracle then, so I am going to continue to hope. Thanks for responding. He is a 15 year old Red Lory. I've had him since he was about 4 months old.

I would recommend you have your Grey tested for problems if you have not already. Birds usually have so subtle visual symptoms of problems, it's extremely easy to miss. Being he's sharing food with the Grey from time to time. I would suggest blook work, honestly on the Grey.

Just my suggestion. My preyers for your Lori...

I'm at a loss to make any suggestions, except keep up with the supportive care until you can get to the certified avian vet on Tuesday. My fingers are crossed for you. I love red lories.

I just looked up iron storage disease and some of the symptoms do match. I will mention that for sure. Nutriberries have a decent high level of iron and with him eating a couple every day over years and years, I guess that for sure could be one possibility.
