Mess, diet and possibly noise volume. Being on such a liquid diet with the nectar wet mix and the amount of fruit they can be real poo shooters. You need to be really on top the cage hygiene because of the poo as it is such a problem for bacteria. They should be fed either a homemade or commercially available lorikeet wet mix and dry mix (I buy mine) and need plenty of fresh fruit and veg daily. No seed unless it's sprouted. Olly in particluar can easily outscream my sun and is fairly consistant with the noise unless he's shoving his beak with food. Those are the downfalls with these guys. Looks wise, personality, potential mimic ability, affection, all blended into a 130gm bird. Perfection.
