Hello who know some good lori sites?
http://www.lories.nl/ this is the best site I know, also because I have helped him, but only in my language. but look at "soorten" and you will find many photo's of al lories who are in captivety.

http://www.loribreeders.com/ this is the website of the european loribreeders, but still under construction.

http://www.lorihaven.dk/ a website from a Danish loribreeder, also still under construction.

http://www.rainbows.com.au/ a website from a Australian breeder with many mutations.

Thanks for the links Lorifreak! Best site for lories that I know of is a NZ one...Lory Link The owner is a breeder who I know personally and does everything herself from hand-feeding to exporting. Enjoy!

"Over the past 10 years the numbers of those birds (lories) kept in the UK has crashed, for varoius reasons. if you keep/breed lories and lorikeets, your input will greatly appreciated" - Parrot Link, UK.

hi,
i am not a breeder i just keep lories because i love em. the above statment in a UK parrot forum had inspired me to create a lory blog which i hope will generate more interest in these lovely birds.
many of my friends have not seen a duyvenbode's lory ever. i get a kick out of seeing their expression when they see the under wings brilliant yellow it is my hope that more people will get into these birds.

My Blueberry was raised with a duyvie.. The breeder was teetering on selling him for awhile, I think shes decided to keep him, since she can get rid of the brown dust mop that follows her around the house tweeting...

Otherwise I was gonna offer to buy him. LOL, stupid lory bug.

haha I think there really IS such thing as the lory bug! Best bird I've ever been owned by (and by best I mean tamest, most loving, most cognitive, friendly, playful, excitable, beautiful, amusing, quirky etcetc)

Thanks for the links. What beautiful pictures! I love looking at all the different species. My lory is a one of a kind love bug. I've had the little guy 15 years, and my life has been so rich because of it. The squirting poop- well that I could do without! ha ha

My lorys the most unfriendliest, aggressive, violent, verbally abusive bugger out but he's still the coolest little dude in the world. Most of the time he won't let me touch him but when he does want tummy rubs and cuddles its even more special. He's so funny, pretty little bird with GIGANTIC attitude, but my dogs a sook so I'm lucky I've got a guard parrot
