Blueberry

I'm posting lots of pics in lots of places, soooo
sorry if some of you are getting a cute repeat

shes lost tail feathers, due to play. LOTS of play! like, she does NOT STOP!!! shes trying to kill the fingers in most of the pics. the ones of her hanging upsidedown didn't turn out, she does that. and she TALKS and TALKS.
she says my son's name (not the one in the picture) swears-yes, I hear the S word from her often enough for me to be angry that someone plays x-box and gets mad and swears at it
she says come here, step when I hold out my finger, give it here, come here, and various other things

What a lovely little Green Nape you have! She looks like a total character. Have you had her dna sexed at all? Just curious. Cute kid too!

All the best,

Heather

no, I don't know that I want to... I just call her a her, and thats that ;) I'm already outnumbered by boys in the house!!!

I'd like to get a breeding pair of lories, but I don't think I want green naped. I'd prefer goldies or stellas, maybe blue streaked...

Ironically, you have access to many more species of lories than I do even though I am 'just across the ditch' from their home land. (For the most part anyway.) My ambition is to have a pair of every variety there is going but here in NZ I am already halfway there. A friend had found some Fairy lorikeets that are breeding and has promised me first dibs on any progeny but heaven knows where I would ever find an unrelated partner.

Green napes are lovely birds and very similar to rainbows as I understand it. You could go farther and fare worse! If your little bird is talking and interacting in such a way then I would lay money that you have a boy there. (SORRY! ) Keep up the good work!

All the best,

Heather
