lory sizes

I've been deciding forever an ever, what my next birdie will be.

I haven't had blueberry very long, only a few months... shes still a cute lil baby at almost 7 month old (birthday is on the 6th!!) So I don't know how much more attitude will come out in the next year. But I have decided that I love lories.

But at the same time, I've been wanting to move up. onto a bigger bird.

where is this going? WELLLL

are there any sites that have good pictures of lories lined up side-by-side for comparisons in size? Or, what about; which lory is the biggest, but also still fairly sweet. Maybe I'm asking the wrong question, since lories are spastic ALL the time, huh?

Can't really help as we have very few varieties here for comparison. I would imagine that a green nape would be up there amogst the larger ones though. Why do you want a bigger one particularly?

All the best,

Heather

Heaps of alternatives in between if you are not lory-fixated. Have you thought about quakers or galahs for example???

All the best,

Heather

yes, I have... lol.

I just want a general guide, or.. a picture of a stellas next to a green cheek, since stellas are the largest.

I've looked at EVERYTHING. I was actually thinking along the lines of a Jardines, or African Grey but I do love my lory very very much.

Rainbows and Green Napes are around the same size but Rainbows are something a little special. I breed them so I'm biased!

All the best,

Heather

that site would be good if... there were pictures of different species with eachother, LOTS of pictures of different color mutations of ranibows though! goodness... The only one I personally like more than the normal is the pied.

I personally think that rainbows are good as just plain ol rainbows
