I can find them at local craft stores.. you can dye them colors with food coloring and veggie dyes fairly easily.
they come in various sizes too, up to a foot across.

The willow and twig wreaths are great too! My daughter has made some lovely little finch sized swings with little bits of feather and other non-threatening stuff wound into them. I'll see if I can find a pic and pop it below.
