Question One of my lorikeets is making annoying noise, help!

Hi there. This is my 1st post. My partner has 2 lorikeets!

1 of them is getting out of control with its constant annoying noise. I have filmed and uploaded it so please comment on what she is doing. Is she calling for a mate? if not please advice how we can stop this noise. :( She never used to make this noise.

The video is here.

I believe thats what she's doing, a mating call.

What kind of lorikeet? My girl didn't react at all to this noise. I've never heard it before.
It certainly could be a mating call... Hmmm could you let us know her diet, how much time the two lorikeets get together and how often he's out of the cage? That must be really annoying!

Our Red Collar does that noise when wanting sympathy like when his foot was hurt. He doesn't do it often. I hope your Lory isn't hurting in any way. I think our Lorikeet learnt it off a puppy dog before we had him ... we call it his "puppy whimper".

I couldn't see the video but if its annoying and you can't ignore it mabey it needs more human socialzation.. Lorikeets like most animals bond with whatever they spend the most time with.. Letting it out or even just let it sit on ur shoulder as you potter about ur daily activites.. That way mabey it might teach it too stop as if it wanted to really mate.. It would use ur head as a sex toy rather than it carrying on.. Don't quote me as a solution but its what I would be trying.. Hope this was help
