Scaly breasted Lory

Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them?

They are very similar in personality to rainbow lorikeets, just smaller with higher pitched voices. You can get them in a variety of colour mutations, some more attractive than others. Handraised musk lorikeets also make the most wonderful little pets, personality plus but in a tiny, cute, pudgy little body!

i have a scaly! he's so cute (or she, not sure)
i found him as a baby and there were no lorikeets around, but were lots of crows and butcher birds so we took him in and ended up becoming my first bird michael (which is why i'm on bird board, i dont know anything about birds, but it's been about 9 months and all is going well)
so i don't have anything to compare him to, but he's been great. can be moody. but he does love a cuddle. he bites and chews in play just like a puppy. he can give a nastier nip but i know what he doesn't like so that's not a concern.
he's quite loud at times. loves company and joins in on the conversation.
loves shiny things and bells and licks everything. he's beautiful and always entertaining!

Michael sounds really cute. What are his fav foods?

You'll probably know male/female soon....I thought Monty was a boy, till I found an egg in the wet mix bowl!

What colour mutation is Michael? Monty is lime green :)
