Help my lory has changed

Hi Guys, can anyone shed some light for me?
My boy aged 9months has suddenly changed 2weeks ago.

He used to love jumping on anybody and playing, now he has suddenly gone werid, When you put your hand in his cage for him to hop on, he backs off and pulls away (he never used to do this) he used to say 'Come on' and hop on. Now i either have to build up his trust or walk away and he will come out on his own, if i walk up to him he doesnt want to hop on me he backs off again, and the worst of all is when he want him to go back into his cage, he will jump on the floor and run away for the next hour, to the point we have to put a pillow case over him to get him back in his cage. (Would be happy for him to run around on the floor but due to an indoor rabbit, he would get hurt) Then after we get him back in his cage he is scared again. (wonder why)

Can anyone help? is he just turned stubborn or is he trying to pecking order? or just gone scared of us?

Thanks guys

When my lorikeet hit around that age, she started being a little more flighty and scared, and would even nip more. I think it's just a kind of "teenage" period for them. The pillowcase won't help! It'll just make him more scared of you. You should start to reinforce trust exercises and bonding, using treats and toys and lots of praise. Find out what his favourite thing is, and use it as a tool to gain his trust. Ashling will do anything for spinach, so I use this when I need to lure her into a desired behaviour... the reward is the spinach :) You should start at the beginning again; building trust by sitting by his cage and feeding him treats through the bars and talking to him. When he's comfortable, reach your hand into the cage slowly to give him his treat. Then use the food to lure him onto your hand. When he's ok wirth that, try taking him out. Let me know how you go.
