Sort of gross poop question.
Ok I know each bird is different but how far outside the cage does your lory squirt? I'm trying to get an idea of cage placement in case I get a cage with bars and how much floor covering I'm going to need around the cage. Yum.

I think it depends on the bird, so far Trix has not been squirting outside of her cage but she is still a baby and learning how to get all around. The 2 Lories I fostered, one was not a squirter at all, he was very good about keeping poop in the cage, the rainbow was a bit more messy so I just kept the wall behind her cage covered and something under her cage but honestly it was not that bad. We will see how Trix turns out soon!

I witnessed him doing it. He got her right in the middle of her chest. She was wearing a white sweatshirt. He would cling on the aviary wire, aim, fire....lol. It was something else. He was only 5 or 6 months old too.

Dear god. Maybe I'll clear out the living room and stick the cage right in the middle.

The red lories are gorgeous!!!! I've met green naped lories and Duyvenbode. The duyvenbode was the one that could shoot poop. The green naped were funny and pretty!
