Unhappy I think my baby is depressed

My little girl Dee Dee (red collar) just recently had an accident. My fault, she hit the house ceiling fan and ended up with a painting on top of her. We took her to the vet as i was worried she had a broken wing, he said her wings were fine and we had her clipped whilst there.
Now she is just not herself. This all happened four days ago and i wonder if she needs time. We put her back in with her mate almost straight away and i was careful to watch he wasn't bullying her or anything.
She is eating and drinking, but is nowhere near as verbal as she was and she sits in the corner of her cage most of the day and shudders every now and then. Also she holds her wing a little awkwardly now and then so wonder if it is troubling her. Will see the vet again today as i am having Koko's wings clipped also so there are no more accidents, so i will ask him what he thinks also.
Any feedback would be great though.
Thanks
Worried Mum

I just clipped my red collar's wing aswell (see the post about my lory has gone wild!), and he doesn't seem very happy, i wonder if they just feel really not-themselves as they don't have their flight/balance etc? Wing clipping seems to help tame birds as they then feel more dependent on their human owner, but maybe they don't feel so good about themselves? - I'm wondering aloud for my bird (Dame) here too.
Let me know how things go!

He just had a scary experience, topped with a visit to the vet and the loss of his flight; anyone would be a bit nervous. Just keep things quiet for him and as normal as possible. Give him lots of praise and treats and encouragement. Maybe get that wing re-checked?

she may be bruised and sore too, from hitting the fan, or could have a slight concussion. i have a conure that i was bringing back from the vet, and i hit a deer. she was sitting on my shoulder, ( i know dumb move) which i never do, i just was careless. and she hit the dashboard. she was quiet for several days and not herself. i think she too was sore and bruised. she got better thank god. just watch her closely, good luck, and wing clipping is a good thing usually....

I agree, have her health double checked to rule out general soreness and whatnot, though I think the accident combined with the fact that he's lost flight probably has something to do with it. My parrotlet would get depressed if my parents made me clip him when I came home.
