Talking Wild Lorikeet Hybrids 3 in 1 (Photos)

Just thought I would share some photos I took in January. :)
I was camping and saw these very strange lorikeets hanging around. When I got home I did some research and got some help from others and discovered what I already suspected... they are wild hybrids!

Here are the rainbow lorikeet X scaly breasted lorikeet X musk lorikeet:

Here's another one, I thought it was a normal scaly breast but it may be another hybrid?

And a silly magpie I saw there as well. :)

Fantastic photos! Thanks for sharing. I am guessing that you live in Austrailia?

Thanks. :) Yes, I live in Australia. These were taken in Geelong, about an hour from Melbourne.

They all look like hybrids to me! Scaly's don't have any blue on their foreheads! And I take it it's assumed that they are musk hybrids due to the red on the head?? although the color seems to extend pretty far back....

If possible, I'd *love* to get the original photos of at least the first two images to put into an online hybrid gallery with credit going to you for the pictures!!!

Can't say I'm a fan for some of the lorikeet mutations... they just don't appeal to me...
