New Rainbow lori

Hi! I have committed to become a slave to a Rainbow Lorikeet.
This will be interesting to say the least. I am getting him to try to help heal the hole in my heart over my lost tiel 'Tweety', who will still be Top Dog if I do get her back. I pray that she is at least SAFE. and if someone has her they treat her right, as I do not think they will hand her in, as she is so stunning looking.
He is only 7weeks old and I will not get him until he is weaned off, about 8/10days time.
The name that came to mind, is Rambo and fits with Rainbow.
Picture yet to come. And I can go play with him a few more time before I bring him home, which is real good.
The breeder seems to know his stuff and use's the same Avian vet as the Bird Resuce, and who I used for Tweety. Lynfield Vets. I think the Bird Barn also recommend Lynfield Vets. This vet is also located down wind maybe 3kms of where Tweety was lost. So if she gets found there is a great chance she will end up at this Vets. Fingers will always be crossed.

Sorry to hear about your missing Tweety. I hope she finds her way back or into the home of someone who cares for her.
Congratulations on your rainbow, I think the name Rambo is VERY appropriate as that is pretty much their attitude to life. You will have lots to look forwards to when you can finally bring your new baby home, and in my books rainbows never cease to amaze or entertain.

Sounds like a good breeder, Clive- and I can't wait to see pics! I bet Rambo is adorable. Is he a Swainson's or another subspecies?

Aaaawwww he is sooo cute! I love it when they're young with their little black beaks! He has such a thin green nape band and very pretty colouring on his chest.

Oh my, if that bird doesn't steal your heart I don't know what will! Rainbow lories are alot of fun, I always say that I wish I had half as much energy as my lory.
