Cherry's favorite new treat

I have been looking for a treat for my red Mullican, Cherry. I really wan't to be able to give her a wide variety of treats and food. Breakfast and dinner are her favorite time of the day. I've done everything from fruit smoothies frozen in different shapes to adding natural apple sauce she loves it all. Her favorite treat of all time has always been dried papaya. She will do absolutly anything for it even fly to my husband (that's a love/ hate relationship).
Well I had read online that in the wild they absolutly love Bottle brush bushes.
So I promptly started looking for one. I tried several plant nusery to no avail I went into my local Walmart and found one tiny one at the end of its bloom. I bought it brought it home and washed it down several times. The next morning I cut off a branch and brought it in. She went crazy and yelled at the top of her lungs for me to "Come Here" "Love pretty Cherry" all the while not an inch of her cage was save. MY husband and kids ran into the room thinking she was hung up on something the way she was screaming.
I clipped the branch into her cage and she was the quietest bird in the house for 2 hours until she had it completly stripped.
I can't wait for that bush to blume again. Oh and Hubby wants to give her the first branch in bloom. lol

I didn't know you could by bottle brush at wal-mart. I wonder if we can get them up north.
Rubix sounds like a character and a handful.

Oops, I meant to write Cherry. Sorry about that. I was on the phone trying to make some progress on getting my hot water tank.

Doesn't matter all my birds are a handful and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Good luck on the hot water tank.

Lucky you to have found a bottle brush. Made me laugh when you said that Cherry stripped the bit you gave...Hope it is a big one... lol? it is not going to last long.

I keep looking here, I think I go to the wrong garden centres/plant nurseries.
My mother has one and clips off the seed heads for us.
The birdies love those too.
I have a small plant from a cutting....They are waiting patiently

edit sorry I do not know why there are big glasses I thought I put smilies...
