My Black Capped Lory

I posted on here a while ago that my black capped lory egg had been laid but havent updated since i dont think! So i thought i should say that "Ruby" is home, settled well and i couldnt be happier with her. She's a real sweetie, very very tame, talking well already and looks like she is going to be a stunner when she is fully grown! Here's some pictures of her:

She is adorable! She looks like alittle Ashling owned by mel. She does have some barring on the feathers. This can be corrected with a healthy diet and a 1st molt. Congrats!

Wow she is beautiful! And eating well judging by that huge crop! I love black-caps, such beautiful birds.

Oh yes, she is a little pig! I have to limit what she has or she'd eat til she burst i think lol But she's just a baby and i guess thats what they do!!

I was fascinated by the black caps from the first time i saw a picture of them. And if Ruby is anything to go by, they have all the character and personality of the smaller lorikeets as well!

I've seen quite a few videos on YouTube featuring black caps, and they certainly have all the same cheek and playfulness as any of the other lories, plus all the other endearing qualities (lying on their backs, being really cuddly etc). Just darling!
