No calls today about him. We went and handed out more fliers around businesses tonight.

**Update**

Well...this is hard to type. A customer of our's found Tiki's body over the weekend at the Lab. They had our flyer and called my Husband this morning and brought him to the shop this morning. It is nice of them to take the time to bring him home to us.

I feel so bad. I have closure now but I feel horrible. My mistake took his life from him. I just never imagined how hard it would be to see him passed away. I keep crying to think about him...I know it will take some time to get over. I just feel crappy.

I am so sorry that this didn't turn out differently. I so hoped it would. Please try to free yourself from any guilt. You are clearly a loving, responsible owner and I am sure you put there needs above and beyond your own day in and day out. Why this terrible accident took place is impossible to know. Grieve your loss, that is important, but please don't blame yourself. It's not fair to you.

i feel so sorry for your loss, :( im not a bird owner yet but i understand that this must has really broke your heart. don't feel guilty about it. accidents happen, it is life, this may sound heartless but if you keep mourning on this then you will never heal, but it is the truth. we should never forget the past but we shall not dwell on it either. in fact when your ready a new friend may help a heart heal faster. :)

Losing a bird is the hardest thing in the world. Especially if it flew away. I lost my cockatiel on April 23rd. I left his cage door open when our front door was open & we never found him. I am thinking optimistically that he is flying high in the sky. But I need you to know it is not your fault. These things happen.. and it hurts. But you can not blame yourself in any way. I am so sorry for the loss of Tiki.
