I was born and raised in Watervliet, my folks still live there. I will have my dad keep an eye out for anyone looking for a lost parrot. Thank you for trying to help

Thank you all for your assistance. I will post on parrot 911, and also contact the Rensselaer Bird Center.

The local paper may let you run a classified ad for free in lost/found pets (ours does).

You truly are a wonderful person. The not knowing is actually much worse than getting the bad news.

Did you ever find the owner? You could also try calling the local avian vet in your area and see if they have a record. I live about 40 miles north of you and can check with my avian vet which is inbetween in Saratoga. You might also try calling L&M leg bands at
(909)882-4649 this is where most breeders get there leg bands. They are open 9am PT and closed weekends.

Not all do - and not really most. There is also Red Bird products to name a few as well as clup associated traceable bands like allot of breeders use. L&M might be a good place to start though.
