So sad. Do you have any idea what kind of parrot it is? Maybe describe it in more detail and then you can search the lost sections for specific species?

I am located in Watervliet New York, and since I am colorblind, my neighbor tells me the bird is predominately green in color, with yellow and blue coloring about its head and eyes. Overall length is approximately 11".

Yes, that looks like the bird. I will keep the birds remains for a while. I know if it was my pet I would want them. I wonder if a local veternarian would be able to trace the number?

Thank you for helping him/ her find her way home. It will mean a great deal to someone. At least they will have closure, and not have to wonder for the rest of their lives.....

You are a truly good person. Most people wouldn't go through the trouble. I am glad to know there are people like you out there that care enough to try and inform the owners. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated your effort!!

Send a message via AIM to Tom Lawless
If you are in Watervliet, New York you might want to contact the Rensselaer Bird Center at 432-9674. They are the main bird shop in the capital district. They may have sold the bird and if so would have kept track of the number on the poor little guy's band. Even if they didn't sell it they might have been contacted about a lost bird. It's worth a shot.

They are closed on Monday but I believe they have an answering machine on which you could leave your name and number.
