Lost Blue Fronted Amazon - Corning CA

Hello everyone. I am new to this site. Just joined today. I lost my parrot a little over three weeks ago in Corning, CA. I was able to track her for a couple of days, but could not convince her to come back to her cage and the trees were too high too climb. I have been informed since that she might have possibly been recovered in an olive orchard close to my home. A man in a local restaurant described her almost perfectly. However, he said his coworker that plucked her out of the tree took her home to Anderson - about 50 miles away. He inquired about a reward. When I told him it was $100 he said they had already priced the bird and she was worth more than that. I said I would give anything to have her back. He took my name and number, but of course no one ever called me. I spent last weekend in the Anderson area posting flyers and checking local pet shops and animal swaps to see if they may have sold her there.

I am posting this so that perhaps if someone in that area is a member of this site they could keep their eyes and ears open for me. I've tried all other avenues too...Craigs list, Parrot911, etcetera. It never occurred to me that a dishonest person would find her. She is four years old and I've had her since she was three months old. I just want to cry everytime I look at her empty cage. Julie

P.S. Her name is AJ and she can say "Hello AJ, pretty bird" and can whistle the Andy Griffith theme song.

Get a lawyer, immediately sue the man who took her if you can get evidence that he indeed took her, preserve your rights, commence discovery to preserve evidence, and try to get the local news involved to see if you could shame this guy into giving you your bird back. There might be attorneys in your area who are experienced and interested in animal rights, good luck with this.

what a jerk that guy is, he deserves everything he gets. Go after him, your bird is stolen property...he needs to know that, take an officer with you when you explain this to him.
