Unhappy African Gray Parrot - Lost $$$$$ Reward $$$$$

$500.00 reward for safe return of my bird OR I will buy you a parrot of your own in exchange for getting mine back home to me.

(photo is an actual photo of my baby)

She is an African Gray Parrot - All gray with red tail She is extremely timid/fearful and may growl when approached.

Last Seen Near: Johnson Lake Road and Highway 67 in Lakeside. at approx. 2pm Monday 24 August 2009. She flew out of her cage and right out the door-Johnson Lake Road, Lakeside, CA - Eucalyptus hills/Highway 67 area.

We love her very much and the entire family is devastated and we search endlessly for her, it's heartbreaking - she is one of the family - please help us.

In case someone out there has found my lost bird, please, I want you to know that I am willing to buy you a new African gray parrot of your own in exchange for mine back. It is more sentimentally and emotionally important to me to have my own bird back and I know my bird feels the same way.

Someone has been going through the trouble of repeatedly taking down many of our LOST BIRD signs and there must be a reason for them doing this. The logical explanation is that whoever is doing this has found my bird and since I haven't been contacted to let me know, must plan on keeping her as their own.

I am extremely attached to her and I love her so much! She is not replaceable in my heart. I can't sleep, I can't eat, and I am sick to death over her being missing.

If anyone has found her and is keeping her, I will be happy to buy a replacement bird, no questions asked. I won't judge you, I can see how you'd fall in love with her, but understand that I am heartbroken and want my beloved baby back.

She is so attached to me; she dances and sings for me because she gets so excited to see me. She loves me and has bonded to me and vice versa.

I can’t just buy a new bird, she isn't replaceable for me. She is the one who lives in my heart and I live in hers and buying another one isn't the same for me as it could be for you.

Please have compassion and please contact me. I would rather buy you a bird of your own than to live my life without my bird in it.

Thank you for understanding,
Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I truly hope you find your baby and I will keep you and her in my prayers. Do everything you can to find her, but try not to be too hard on yourself.

Thank you.
I have posted over 400 fliers in a 1 mile radius, have been exhaustively searching in record high temps. I posted it on every website I could find and put it in local newspapers as well as there are still many that don't have internet and read the paper for lost ads if they find a pet.
I am being very hard on my body in my searching as I am also not eating/sleeping much...the grief and stress is overwhelming!

Any school near you that do newsletters home to families? Local radio stations that have lost and found adds? Shops that will put notices in windows. Pet stores, vets as well? I am so sorry and I hope she is found soon.

I have put signs up at the local gas station, the 7-11's don't permit it...
I have put signs in vets, petco, petsmart, pet shops...
