Prone to infections? I suppose better safe than sorry. It's just that I have a 'bee in my bonnet' when it comes to doctors giving out advice that doesn't make sense.

However, you're the important person in the picture. And as long as the treatment is making you feel better, ultimately that's what's important...

The doctor is right!!!!! You can have different levels of an allergic reaction!!!!!

I know this because I have been severly allergic to bees my whole life! When i was younger I had to have a shot everytime I got stung! My throat swelled closed and everything. HOWEVER, now all I get is major swelling and itchy! My doctor gives me antibiotics as well when this happens. I have had differnt ones, from Penicillin to cephlixin and even amoxicilian. Sorry about the speliing there...LOL!!!!

Doctors may not know everything afterall they are just human, but allergic reactions are pretty standard fare.
