Uh Oh!

Uh Oh, I was checking city bylaws today on the amount of each specific class of animal I was allowed to have in my ownership,...and needless to say, I'm over my limit LOL!

I have two reptiles over than I am supposed to have, and three birds over than what I am supposed to have. I never knew the laws for my city were so stupid!

You can't keep a pet snake over two feet long, or a lizard over 12 inches long(?)...THATS LUDICROUS! I don't see how petstores all over the city aren't being charged right now. Almost every single snake being sold, grows above two feet, bearded dragons(the most common lizard, and best begginner lizard) grows well over 12 inches, as well with iguanas, monitors, etc. And then the birds, your only allowed to have two per household ? Hows that even possible LOL. I doubt I could ever withstand only owning two birds. That two bird limit is stupid, because people have aviaries everywhere(more than two birds), or in general more than two birds!

My cities driving me crazy! What stupid rules! I think almost any pet owner in the city is disobeying the law....

Where do you live and is there a reward for turning in lawbreakers?

Shame on you.
You Rebel you!

Steven,

In order to have more than three dogs in this county, you must have a special county permit. The same goes for other animals. Needless to say, nobody follows that "rule."

But you think that law is ludicrous, wait until you hear this - (this is totally true) in Indiana, baths may not be taken between the months of October and March.

I don't know the exact rules here, however I did hear somewhere that one is not allowed to have more than 2 dogs, though I've seen people with 5 easily!

As far as keeping animals, I use to live in a trailor park where no pets were allowed (no dogs, no cats, no birds, no pets whatever!) though I occasionally saw people with birds (very few), some who even sneaked in cats and dogs, and some people even had fish. The main worry was that the animals would be too noisy and they would make a mess (I don't know how fish, reptiles, and insects might fit into that category...). To say the least, we ended up keeping birds there, and the owner of the trailor park even came into our house to check something out and saw that we had birds, but he never said a word about it! Well, since we have left, the state of California have forced him to atleast allow one pet into each household...
