Sleep walking?

My hubby has been on nights Monday night and last night; I usually drink a little beer and play on the computer at night; kind of my "down" time.
Yesterday morning I woke up with Buck in my bed............... I know I had a few beers, but I didn't remember putting Buck in bed with me.
This morning I wake up, go into the bird room, and Buck's cage is open and he is nowhere to be found............ I am freaking out; where in the hell is he? I go back to the bedroom and he is under my covers. Obviously this little stinker has learned how to let himself out of his cage.
I will have to keep the bird room door closed at night -

I think that Buck is so smart that he can get out of the cage alone. That is really the first time for me that I heared about a bird which can get out of his cage alone....so strange. But, the right thing to do is to close your bedroom at nigh.

Fatma:

Are you kidding? Three of my BGs can get out unless I use locks and chains to keep them secured. In fact, Dreamie will unlock EVERYONE'S cage here except my Severe's. He doesn't like the Severe.

That is too funny Laurie! I think it would be interesting to install little "nanny cams" in the bird room to see how he breaks out. But he is just too cute!

Seems to me Buck Buck's been online with Dreamie learning the latest techniques in cage escape. There was a rumor afoot a few months ago that these classes were to be offered at a deeply discounted price (half a bag of nuts and a head skritch).

I've been home "sick" the last couple days and I dozed off around midday. Since I was at home, Chaska's cage was open. I was startled awake by her sitting on my arm, playing with my hair. She must have been worried about why Mommy was sleeping in the middle of the day!

Oh my...... BOTH of mine can. I have caribeaner clips on both cages and that seems to be the only thing they can't undo. When I was younger I kept keyed locks on their cages until I had a grown up moment and realized if there was a fire or something they'd be screwed.

Sometimes the clips don't get done well and they find out right away. I have an eaten piano, and peeled walls to prove it. Oh yeah, we were loading the truck for a camping trip one morning and I hear my hubby curse and a big racket. I run over to see what happened, and I see Niki on the floor ducking, my hubby with his feet planted and arms out all funny looking, and dropped camping gear on the other side of Niki. She had gotten out of her cage, through her room, and out onto the entryway tile...... just to come see what we were up to! Hubby almost stepped on her, but thank goodness saw her at the last second.

Laurie,

That Buck must have taken the course that Outlaw's birds gave on cage escaping! I know Bubba has taken the course.
