DIRECTIONS:

#1 – From Verrazano Bridge: Belt Parkway East (Long Island) to Southern State East, take exit 22S, Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M9 West Merrick Road. At the fourth light make a left turn into the Rec. Center parking lot.

#2 – From G.W. Bridge: Cross Bronx Expressway to either the Whitestone Bridge or Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Island Parkway to Southern State East, take Exit 22S, Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M9 West Merrick Road, at the fourth light make a left turn into Rec. Center parking lot.

#3 – From New England: Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Island Parkway to Southern State east, take Exit 22S, Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M9 West Merrick Road, at the fourth light make a left turn into Rec. Center parking lot.

#4 – From Eastern Long Island: Southern Parkway West to Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M9 West Merrick Road, at the fourth light make a left turn into Rec. Center parking lot.

#5 – From Meadowbrook Parkway: Take Exit 22S, Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M9 West Merrick Road, at the fourth light make a left turn into Rec. Center parking lot.


Commercial Routes:

G.W. Bridge to Cross Bronx Expressway to Throgs Neck Bridge to Clearview Expressway to Long Island Expressway East. Take Exit 44S, (Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway – Rte 135) south to Merrick Road West. Once past the Meadowbrook Parkway, at the fourth light make a left turn into Rec. Center parking lot.

From Verranzano Bridge take Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Long Island Expwy East. Take Exit 44S to Merrick Road West. Once past the Meadowbrook Parkway, at the fourth light make a left turn into Rec. Center parking lot.

By Train from NYC/Manhattan: Take Long Island Railroad (718-794-LIRR) to Freeport Station. Exit towards back of train on Henry Street, it becomes Main Street. Turn left on Merrick Road and walk two blocks. Recreation Center will be on your right.

Lisa, thanks so much for the directions! Much appreciated. Okay, what is "the Chance?" We got here in October of last year so we don't know that much about Poughkeepsie other than we go there for most of the things we need since there's a dearth of shopping in Hyde Park!

the conserts are great there.



I dont believe I will be going to Long Island this year. It would be a 3 hour trip each way, and I am not up to the drive or travel.
However, it IS the BEST Bird Club show in the north east, and if you are able to go, you wont forget it!
i have so many friends there that are vendors. Its like a reunion when I used to go.....please visit the bird toy man, Claudia Moss art Studios and Flock stock and barrel.
