UNBELIEVABLE!!

Ok, so what exactly ARE the rules of conduct here??

What was offensive about the Feathers Distribution thread??
I mean Specifically....?

And because Josie gets all meanspirited and bigoted on Pagans,
the "10 Things..." thread gets closed to???

What is going on??

I thought I handled Josie and her negative comments very well...
but of course, I guess there's some sort of 'rules' being broken.

Wish I knew what they were!

After this thing blows over with you Savvy, I will probably stop posting. Until then I will post.

You have some serious issues.

I'll be ignoring you from now on, please
don't respond to ANY posts of mine again, ok ?
You don't HAVE a point to prove... (well except the one on your head)

and by the way- what you admit to doing now... is "Harrassment".

All I can say is the behavior and decorum here is very mild compared to other forums. I have always appreciated feeling like I can say whatever I like, short of obscenities and personal insults.

I got the feeling that "political correctness" was a factor in shutting the feather thread, which if true, is a darn shame.

If I'm an intolerant, narrow-minded bigot, I should still have the right to express myself except for the above limitations.

"Generally moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material."

This is all I could find in the FAQ. "Offensive" is a very subjective term, neh?

Well it sure is a shame when over-moderation, unrealistic rules,
and "PC Fever" warps an otherwise open, adult forum of VARIOUS
ideas and Interestingly different individuals into a simpering
pool of boredom and sameness, isn't it?

::: shrugs :::

The most enjoyable forum I ever found was almost totally un-moderated. Yes, flame wars and insults were pretty common, but you know what? Nobody got hurt, and at the end of the day none of what was said made a lick of difference to anybody else. I got called all sorts of nasty things, and dished it out pretty good too, it was fun!

It is sad when the possibilty of "offending" anybody prevents everybody from being who they are; good, bad or in between. :x

I'm not trying to start anything, just please hear (or read) me out:
Really, none of us have enough information to REALLY pass judgement on anyone here. We only (well, most of us) know eachother via internet, and that hardly presents enough evidence to pass a correct judgement.
Second, This board is provided for us to discuss our birds and our lives associated with birds. I think it's wonderful that we also play games and converse to get to understand eachother a little better, but it is supposed to be primarily for the birds. With that said, let's be passionate about the bird conversations and a littl more relaxed on our personal beliefs and practices.
Third, Beliefs are a VERY PERSONAL, VERY STRONG thing. We all have our own, and they may not be the same as another persons, they're not supposed to be. As far as afterlife, I believe that your afterlife consists of what your personal beliefs were here on earth. If you believe in heaven and hell, then that's what your afterlife will consist of; If you believe in reincarnation, then that will be your afterlife fate, and so on. As far as one religeon being better than another, I don't find any truth in that. As long as there is a belief in something larger than yourself, and that the religeon encourages some sense of self control, then your doing good. I know many christians that sin on a regular basis, more so than I know pagans that go against their self-restraints. I know more christians that are alcoholics than I know pagans that even drink occassionally. I'm not saying that all christians are bad (because I am also christian) or that all pagans are good. I'm just saying that there are good and bad on both sides, and that no matter how hard we try to prove our points on this, there's not enough space on the whole internet for us to argue it until we all believe that one thing is right.
I'd just hate to see any of our members leave over a personal debate that doesn't have anything to do with why we joined this board in the first place.

With that said....
Crebain....will you please pass the "peace" Suet?? I think we could use it here!
So.....how 'bout that molting??
