My mother went to go see the foot doctor today, and says that she has bone spurs on the bottom of her feet, though they are not going to go into surgery to remove them as they may as well come back... They could have done a couple other surgeries to help out but the end result would be worse off than her current condition (maybe not as far as pain goes, but as to the position of her foot). Her feet and legs are swollen which could even be seen in the x-rays. They could have prescribed special orthopedics for min $200, and would have to be fixed for sandels, however they just told her to go out and buy a good pair of Birkenstocks instead. Birkenstocks are actually her favorite shoes to wear, though they are just so expensive ($60-$100 easily). Her appointment only costed her $20 so that wasn't bad, and she was given anti-infamatory pill samples to take for two weeks (instead of having to buy them for $3 a pill for 14 of them).
So with a card from the doc's for a 10-15% off for a pair of Birkenstocks, off we went! I guess my mother has been without her Birkenstocks for over a year now (maybe) and it was last December (04) she was having these problems, and hadn't bought any new ones since they are expensive.... The pair she ended up buying were $109, totaling at $118, with no discount (they only discount the first time you buy from them if you have a card with you-she was there in the past...). With shoes in hand (or well, shall I say, on her feet!) we walked out of the store and then off to her work (after stopping to get a bite to eat). She could notice a good improvement of her feet after only wearing her new Birkenstocks for only a few minutes so it looks like all things shall be well if she keeps her Birkenstocks! Other than that, I will be (hopefully) taking Noel to the vets tomorrow (Saturday) to drop by in hopes to get Noel DNA sexed for free (since I have a kit, though not sure if it would work or not) and to turn in my application that I've been holding onto for weeks! (Oh gosh, school is going to start in a month.... I want to go back to homeschooling!).

I did check out QVC though my mother may not need another pair for a good 2-3 years and when her current pair get worn out she'll just probably have them fixed up for a good $30 or so!
As far as the homeschooling, well I'm still in highschool, and have one year left. I'd prefer to go back to homeschooling because if I go back to public, I'd have too many classes I'd have to make up to finish as a senior where-as if I finish in homeschooling (after transfering credits) I wouldn't have to worry about taking extra classes... add to that, my electives are at the end of the homeschooling course, and I would have more things to choose from (such as art, vet assist, maybe even photography) if I so choose. From there, I could decide to take more homeschooling classes from the same place (maybe a degree in something?), and/or go to collage for classes.
