Bite in the face

Today has been one of those days that you wish you would have stayed in bed and not bothered to get up! Had the 3 boys on the porch this a.m. it was only 84 on the porch and wanted to take advantage of the "cool" temp before it gets to hot today. I decided to mow as hubby is on nights and hasn't had the time. Anywho, got two of them in the house and Buck Buck stepped up as usual, and then lunged and bit my cheek! He gets overheated real easily and I am thinking that was the major problem. I ended up wrapping him up in a towel to get him in the house
I go outside with my swollen cheek to mow and I can't get either of the darn mowers started They say the third time is a charm so will try again; if nothing else I will crawl back in bed with hubby and cry myself to sleep

Laurie:

I'm so sorry. They are very unpredictable. I had a neighbor call me today and asked if I can place her 10 year old Umbrella too.

Please be careful about disinfecting that wound. Unfortunately, since it is a puncture wound no doubt, the chances of bacteria are pretty high. Clean it out thoroughly. I have had a serious antibiotic resistant infection in the past that took me almost 10 years to control. Always take any and all broken skin bites seriously.

If your face is really swollen after you've cleaned the wound, may I suggest this old trick: get a tube of Preparation H and simply smooth some on. It will reduce the puffiness and help soothe the residual pain. I'm not joking. It really works very well.

I am sorry. Those U2s can hurt something awful. Tyler U2 got over excited one day and tore my son's nail half off from the side. He is not a cryer but he cried that day. I was worried he was crying and he tells me "my Heart hurts more than the wound ." Tyler is his best friend.

Forget the lawn mower. Sell it and get lawn service. That is what I did. Shoot really does not add up to much once I deduct what I was spending on repairs and gas. My lawn guy comes out three times a month at fifteen bucks a pop. I consider it money well spent.

Thanks all for the kind words, and Nancy, I will try the Preparation H as my face is a little swollen and a bit sore. Hubby had me put ice on it.
I did finish the lawnwork and Lynda, some days a yard service would be a wonderful thing to have, however, I just bought hubby a new riding mower last year and he is going to use it until the darn thing falls apart
Buck Buck has been very "sorry" today and has loved on me for the past 1/2 hour. They love us unconditionally, and I in return love him (and the other boys) the same, bites or not!
