My trip has been postponed

With the gas shortages going on, I just can't risk making the trip to Tammy's. If it was just myself I wouldn't hesitate, but I can't jeopardize the fids' lives............ so, I am praying that the situation will improve within the next month so I can plan another trip!

Laurie, I know this must be very hard on you. You've made a good decision. It probably won't take too long to get things stabilized so far as gas is concerned and there's no sense in getting out ahead of things.

Aw Laurie, that sucks for sure, especially since you've been looking forward to it for so long!

My plans for the weekend have been nixed, too. We were going to head to the Cape for a 'last hurrah', but seeing as I HAVE to go to the Cape next weekend (bridal shower...) only 15 minutes from the house, We're forgoing this weekend. It sure stinks tho, as for me, it is the happiest place on earth.

Thank God we aren't dealing with things as badly as other areas. I'm happy that all I have to do is pay extra for gas! (still sucks! but I'm trying to not complain!)

I wouldn't mind paying the extra to fill up my tank - the problem is knowing if there is going to be a place with gas to fill up.
My hubby finally admitted to me tonight that he has been worried for days about this trip; I have been worried for 2 days myself and didn't feel as though this was the right time.
I will get my time with Tammy soon - maybe next month.
I have to remember that there is a reason for everything; we just don't know why right now.

I believe that is true. As disappointing as it is, I believe there is a reason and you are safer at home right now.
