What's your DREAM JOB?

I was just sitting here with Humphrey and the John Walsh show came on. The topic was women who are living their dreams with their perfect 'dream job'. One was a handbag designer, another a chocolatier, etc. They were mainly people who have started a business working from home. Every once in a while they would show an audience member and on the screen showed what they said their dream job would be. One said "Jane's dream job would be as amusician' another said, "Mary's dream job would be movie set designer". I got to thinking - if I was in that audience, below my name would say, "Michele's dream job is to run her own parrot sanctuary". What are yours? (also, what's your real job?) I am really an English teacher.

I'm a medical biller for an ambulance service....
I actually have 2 dream jobs: Owning my own ambulance service and becomming the museum currator at the Mel Fischer museum in Key West. My major is in Business Management with a minor in Anthropology...so both fit into my degree in some way

I could not see my self satisified with any other job than working with animals! Parrot Sanctuary, exotic zoo keeper, exotic animal breeder, specific animal species expert, tour guide in the amazon, and the list goes on!

And being that I'm still a youngion the possibilities are all pretty reasonable for my future :o

This is my dream job, I've wanted to be involded with rescue for what seems like most of my life.

I've had a job that alot of people would consider a dream job, I took tours and cruises all over the world with groups for about 5 years...free trip, paid while doing it & tips. It can't even come close to what I'm doing now.
(funny thing is they used to call me a mother hen...I would sometimes be walking through an airport with a 100 or so people following me LOL)

alleaa- What do you mean rescue? animal rescue or 911-type rescue? I've been involved with 911 rescue pretty much my whole life...grew up a paramedic's daughter, I was destined for it. I guess that's why I couldn't really imagine working outside 911/EMS...even if it's just in billing for now.

Job now: Odd manual labor jobs (digging holes, transplanting plants, creating gardens, etc...) and of course my odd computer programming jobs.

Dream job: Don't really know yet. I suppose it'll be something to do with computers, but right now I have no idea whatsoever.

Jodi, you still have time to go to school, I went and got my AA when I was working 40+ hours and had 2 kids .... look into internet courses they are great, I did 1/4 of my classes online, if it was in place when I started I would have done them all online. You should never give up on your dreams.

LtlWngdAngl I've been doing bird rescue, I really want to say that I have a home for wayward wings as the word rescue gets so overused, and seems to cause a stir sometimes. Lately I've been doing alot of home to home adoptions and it is working out great!!

i think alleaa is right.....it is never to late to pursue your dreams......i'm not the most successful person in the world......but i lived with anxiety and depression for a while and finally told myself....work hard in whatever you do and be happy for the things you have......live every single day to the fullest possible.......cause.....screw it......happiness....and fearlessness are the two best gifts ever........Jodi.....feed off the fact that you are a great person who does incredible things for animals and probably humans as well............a rare breed..............commendable........

oh....anyways....i'm the big "Operations Supervisor" wowowowowowow.....lol.....at a drywall supply yard which is owned by USG.........i schedule drywall loads to be hauled to jobsites and oversee the drivers...........certainly not my dream job by any means .....but...i look at it this way....if it is so bad it is up to me to change it....so...for now its paying my bills.....i used to haul the crap around but am now residing in the office :) :D ........Dream Job.........definately working with animals....they fascinate me....i'm the idiot all the neighbors are staring at as im laying in my back yard in the grass staring into the woods watching a chipmunk play for an hour.......

Jodi: ...... I'm curious: What was your dream job if ya don't mind saying?.....

Cliff:........ Sounds like ya got it all figured out. I was the same way once but have also risen above that anxiety & depression for the most part although still doing battle with the latter due to circumstances beyond my control at the present time.,,,,,,,,,, I sometimes lay around watching critters too, if I get the chance, so don't feel weird about that.

Kvnband .....Man could I really use your services here. Have lots of those odd jobs for ya.

Michele, Steven, Alleaa, Cliff: too bad we all can't get together and start a huge Parrot Sanctuary and Rescue etc.......So much easier to have a group with the same interests pool their resources rather than doing it on one's own but who the heck really wants to or can relocate?.....Kevin could handle the pc work and dig our post holes etc......I'd help ya Kev :)

LWA: I know I knew who Mel Fischer was but just can't think of it right at the moment? Any help would be appreciated. :)
