What's your DREAM JOB?

I am currently an administrative assistant to the manager of a stock brokerage firm (who is also my fiance). Not my dream job, but the money is good.

My dream job would be to have my own interior design business. I'm a HGTV addict, and I love designing new spaces for my home, and helping others with theirs.

What's strange, is it's taken so long for me to figure that out. I have an art education degree, but have just taken the jobs that have come along most of my life to pay the bills/have benefits. It's nice to have an idea about what I want to be when I grow up - even if I'm 34.

I spent 15 years in ad agencies, designing ads to sell more widgets. The last 2 years, I've been designing and art-directing for a non-profit group that supports school choice in Milwaukee. It's given me a chance to use my skills to help give poor kids a decent chance in life. My dream job is international rock star, but what I'm doing isn't bad at all. I also teach computer illustration at a community college.

lol...my man has asked to be my assistant when I get the company in a few years...right now he works for my competitor.

Well LMPego - actually we were a couple for a year before I relocated and became his assistant. I had worked in the financial industry before this job though, so it was an easy transition. I became his fiance 6 mos. after I started working for him. It's definately been an eye opener for us both! But I know I wouldn't have it any other way. It can be a real asset having your partner behind you every step of the way. You just have to allow each other their "space" out of the office. We have a general rule to not discuss home at work or work at home. This seems to keep our private life our own, and our business life productive.
