Birdboard Gathering in Philly!! Nov 12

Some of you will recall that we were having a Birdboard gathering in New Orleans on Nov 12. For obvious reasons we had to change the location. Since we have a large number of members in the East Coast, Philadelphia has been chosen as the new location.

So mark your calendars! We will have some kind of official dinner, details will be announced soon. We are considering a Moroccan restaurant as they have private rooms within the restaurant. Then we can all go out clubbing afterwards. If you want to join us, please post here.

It's been years since I've really taken South Street in. I know it used to really be hoppin'. I don't know if that's the case anymore. Either way, King of Prussia would have better shopping. Just my $.02!!

I think south street was for bar hopping

King of Prussia -- really great shopping; both upscale and discount
Franklin Mills Mall -- outlet shopping
South Street -- funky boutiques, good bars & restaurants, plenty of tattoos
Olde City -- good bars & restaurants
Philadelphia Zoo -- "The First Zoo"
Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, Edgar Allen Poe House

Hmmm... I'm almost ashamed to admit that I know little about the City of Brotherly Love, despite being across the river It's a great place and I hope that you all enjoy your visit

Ok, where is everyone staying? I'm looking into booking a hotel and know nothing about the city so I don't know which area to look. What's a good area of town and where do I stear clear of?
