Nothing I name has only one name. When my son was a baby a coworker thought his name was actually Zayboo, that's just what we called him at the time. Now, at nine, it's Pooey. He hates that.
My dog is Rocco- good Italian name. He's also called FruitBat, Newt, Doopy, Gnocchi. My Persian, Princess- came with the name. Minnie-Nin is her nickname or Princ-a**. Black cat is named Diva but called DeeDee, Deedoodees, Deeders. Myrtle is a the turtle. Was Butterfly but he's huge and it didn't fit anymore. My kids named the fish. Birds: Giorgio was George when I got him. We call him Norge. Donatella after the Versace girl. We call her TellaTella or DT. Rainbeau is BoBo, RainyDainy Prince came with the name. Lola, she's a hussy. Skye, thought he was female for a year, then his cere turned blue. PJ..Peepers Junior Tiny George....nasty like his dad. Peanut...after a friend's name for my chihuahua when he was six weeks old. |

Myrtle is a Red Eared Slider. He is three years old and about six inches long. When I got him he was the size of a quarter or fifty cent piece.
He was very hostile for a long, long time but last year I started feeding him out of my hand and now he LOVES people!! He'll live to be about 40-50 years old, God willing, and will be about 11 inches long when fullgrown. We'll have to build a pond for him at that point. His tank requires constant cleaning and I also scrub his shell with sea salt to remove dirt, algae, etc. He even lets me pet his head now! As soon as I pick up my latest pics I'll post one of him and some of the fids!! |
