Hey there Kev...ya know it would indeed terrific IF the chatroom is a set_up like the ones that have sound & video! I say this because my highschool class of 19-- :shock: Always has a Tuesday night one but they use some kinda eyball chatroom....We just need a chatroom where those of us who do have web_cams &/or microphones..we can turn them on to show others our birds etc....then I gaurantee you....everyone who doesn't have a lil cam or microphone..WILL get one so they can get in on the fun of sharing!!! Just a though there for you..I KNOW you are struggling with trying to get a nice chatroom...so we ALL have the faith in you, that you WILL indeed! Thanx!

yOU GUYS ARE FREAKING OUT FOR no REASON....IF YOU KNOW anything about webcams..well ONLY (the person who has one), can first of all SEE the other AND that alone is WITH PERMISSION!! So calm down you guys...it is fun...and very controllable... You can view all our birds if you like...and never need to worry about YOU being seen! Thats the way it works! IF I put my webcam ON, I have a check area where it says...somebody (so& so) requests ability to SEE your webcam! (then YOU decide permission)And the voice deal is nothing....certainly don't have to put makeup on for that silly gals!! ANYWAYS...who wears MAKE_UP nowadays???? I am not, nor am I gonna start now...LOL...even my girls ...they don't need make_up..& if the decide to REALLY party down south beach etc...they only put on mascara & lipstick! BUT they don't need it!! Really!!!!Anyways, I have been on webcams with close friends only(& family of course...) & usually am dressed or the least I have on is a nightie, which most can't see anyways...UNLESS I let them...Sooooooooo, whats the big deal?? Sounds kinda like neither one of you have a webcam,,, am I right?? Anyways, calm down....no big deal...everyone stay calm~~ OK?

I use NetMeeting from MSN to "See/talk" to my daughter in Germany and the nice thing is, it's free.

Yeah, what gives with getting dressed up and lipstick etc.......I say "au natural" for the gals (no make-up) and/or nighties & silkies (full-length ones). Could be like an on-line slumber party. :)

Hugh Hefner robes or Graehstone raincoats for the guys!

Eh...well, the problem is that there are no chats like that ready made (that are free) and integrate with phpbb. Matter of fact, I don't think there are any that are free period. Second issue is that the bandwidth would be through the roof for something like that. Maybe once we get bigger (hey, it'll happen), then it's a definite possibility. But for now, I say we stick with simple words.

LOL, oh dear!! Not having a web cam (or ever having used one) I really felt what you guys were saying about 'presentation'!! Hehe! (thinking about what wearing now... and the fact that I have a cold and am continulously blowing nose, sneezing etc!! darn, that some sexi web cam material there!! !!!)

I love the idea of being able to 'perv' on other people's birds on line while you are chatting with them!!

Good on ya, Kev, I know that you'll get us there one day!! Although I've yet to particpate in a chat room with this board!!

I wouldn't mind having a webcam so I could spy on my birds while I am at work-at least on lunch break! :) TFA, I have the same cold since the last 10 days-it just won't go away! I am SO ready for spring! Enough of these cold mornings-I say we pack them up and send them off to America-within the next two months!
