I could only get thru half of it and I was tearing up. It angers me that people abuse animals. I have finally learn not to react to the bites I get from my little ones, but never would I on purpose ever hurt them. I have to defend my babies all the time to people who don't understand the love of pets and why I love them so dearly. I have 3 birds, 1 dog, 1 cat because I can't afford 10 birds 12 dogs 5 cats. I have my FIDS because they bring me PURE happiness.

I watched an documentary/interview with the "Iceman" last year, he was a pathological serial murderer who admitted to killing 100s of people. Sometimes just for the heck of it, because that person pissed him off in a bar, or these kids tried to race him on a freeway, he pulled over, so did they and he shot all of them and left them there. He said the only thing that gave him any emotion was sex. Anyway he started off torturing animals. He would tie two cats up by the tail and swing them over the clothes line and see who won! Burnt them, mutilated them etc. If the gangsters he worked for said make them die and pay for it he would tie them up in a cave and leave them there for rats to feed on, go back and take photographs. Chilling.

I've just read the first page of this thread and I'm horrified at the cruelty of some humans

Only yesterday I discovered some people actually have the vocal chords of their birds deliberately destroyed so they can't make a noise! Why oh why? And what kind of vet would offer such a service?

It's illegal in the UK, as is the same procedure on dogs, how about in America/Canada?

I just cannot comprehend how or why anyone would put their bird through this. Sickening
