spraying and bamboo
ok, like the gum sorts........ two........two topics in one!! Some environmental group got a court order to stop/delay the pheromone spraying for the Australian light brown apple moth. Its going to happen, its just a matter of when. Nasty little critter from what I have read. They sprayed in early September and all faired quite well. Of course they say that its harmless unless you happen to be an Australian light brown apple moth.
The spraying eventually is to be from San Jose to Big Sur. A piece at a time.
So? Just what the heck does this have to do with bamboo? Well, I'm gonna tell ya!!
As I was pondering the plight of the Australian light brown apple moth, I looked (I was wandering threw the parking lot pretending I was working) and saw the little bamboo grove that grows in one corner of the property. Most of it was about 10 to 12 feet high so I said to myself "Self, lets get my saw and cut some down for new play gyms!!"
Know what I did next? Thats right, I went and got my dove tail saw (it cuts sooooooo good!!) and whacked down a bunch and took them to the shop.
Now I gotta strip them and let them dry a little bit before I go to work putting them together. Its going to be fun!!!
